Yes you can buy these individually as well
Remember the plague? Nasty stuff! But something good did come out of it.
Robbing dead bodies is nothing new, and during the 15th century it was almost necessary for survival, but could really get you in a pickle yourself. Sanitation was scarce and germos were having a party in all the goo that was floating about.. ew.
What is a theif to do? Turns out that there is some research about four Thieves who, during the 15th-century plague, used cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics to protect themselves while robbing plague victims. Young Living Theives Oil was created based on this research.
Theives contains this blend of Ingredients:
Clove (Syzygium aromaticum),
lemon (Citrus limon),
cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum),
Eucalyptus radiata, and
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
All of these oils contain properties that will help keep germos at bay and support your health during this time of year. And let me tell you, it smells awesome too!
Can you use it on dogs? Sure, but CAREFULLY..
this is pretty potent stuff. I recommend that you dilute a drop of oil in a tablespoon of base oil. (Young Living has a gorgeous base oil, but for all intents and purposes, you could use olive oil). Give your dog the opportunity to sniff it before applying and keep it away from nose, eyes, ears and all tender tissue. The best place for this oil is right smack dab in the middle of the back, slightly off center of the spine.
I DO NOT recommend using any of the toiletries with any animal except the human.
Because of the cinnamon and lemon DO NOT use this product on cats.

SO, Here’s an oil/herb question for you…
What is a good calmingfocusing oil/herb to use say at a dog show and traveling there? Yes I know rescue remdie, but that calms him to much and I can’t get the speed I need????
Hmmm.. I would go with a combination of Lavender and Grapefruit.. Lavender is calming and centering and grapefruit is mentally stimulating.. I would also pick a differnt bach flower than RR. I’ll do some digging but RR is excellent as a emergency treatment when you need to cover all the bases.. but not so great for specific needs.
Thanks!
DO you carry the lavendar and grapefruit?
I’ve wondered about the dog shows too, agility in particular. Levi just whines and throws a fit when I pull Chase out of his crate. But I don’t want Levi so mellow that he won’t run! (He’s not very fast anyway).
And germos… LOL, sounds like something my sismo would say. 😉
I do have lavender and grapefruit.. but before you buy anything, let me do a little more research..
and the cool thing is that if you put a drop of each on a cotton ball and pop it in a ziploc bag with their collars (preferably something with a natural fabric with it.. which is why my collars have cotton fabric) overnight, it will infuse the scent into the collar.. so you can create a scent that goes with a sucessful event which then translate that memory into your next event (it’s why we are making “agility” collars for the girls.. you will see them not this Saturday, but next, Kara. (this saturday is SueAnn and we will be wearing our camo collars!)
HHMMM agiliyt collars? ? They need those too! ! ! hehehe I love having differnt collars for the boys.
I’ll have to try it. Anything to help keep them healthier is worth a look. I have mid size to small dogs, so what would be the dosage? Based on weight?
